Not entirely sure what's going on here, other than 10 second clips of tracks with some dude shouting his own name over the top, for 14 separate tracks. I thought it was rather cringe-worthy anyway, one of you lot might know who this guy is?

Nah. You liked the cartooon because you hate The Sun and The Mail, thus you give it credence.
But the idea that those shitty rags are in any way responsible for Finsbury Park is a profoundly insidious lie. But people are desperate to exculpate Islam under any circumstances in order to defend the dream of harmonious multiculturalism. It seems so strange that people won't even tolerate the fact that there is at least one problematic dimension to that religion, yet it's always open season on other faiths. Maybe if there wasn't such widespread collusive denial, this Welsh clown wouldn't have been motivated to randomly mow down people.

If you tolerate those who are intolerant of a liberal western democracy,
what happened in Westminster/Manchester/Borough will happen. Perhaps there should be a media blackout on such events, I find the coverage to be little more than 'scaremongering'.
Took you long enough. Doesn't look at all recent, and was probably some promo gimmick, since, as l have already said, they use distributors who deliver all the papers.

it's always interesting how people react when confronted with something that they don't like but suspect is justified
your appeal for equivalency is one of the more common self-defence mechanisms that people employ
"the ref penalised us for handball but he didn't give one against arsenal when they did the same thing last time we played them"
"Hilary was let off for her emails, but now they're blaming Trump for obstructing justice"
In actually, the penalty was justified, Trump appears to have obstructed justice, and people are influenced by the relentless villification and generalisation of Muslims by the Sun and the Mail. Appeals for equivalency are attempts to effectively shift focus away from the unpalatable reality and recast their side or cause again as the victim

"relentless villification and generalisation of Muslims by the Sun and the Mail" simply isn't true, it is at best a hysterical exaggeration. If your imaginary "relentless vilification" was true these papers would have been successfully prosecuted for inciting racial hatred many times. Still, I'm sure you're right. It's all the fault of The Sun and The Mail. They are the root cause of terrorism. I think that's the equivalency you're looking for, to avoid the reality you find so unpalatable.

So when the press complaint commission forced the sun to apologise for their massive headline that 1 in 5 muslims in england support isis as "significantly misleading"
that was just a misunderstanding, was it? I mean, excuse me if I'm engaging in "hysterical exageration"
or when the Sun ran a headline saying that book encouraging children to be jihadis were being sold at london mosques was force to be withdrawn because it was " based on forged evidence", that was mistake any newspaper could make
I mean, I just picked these two example because you seem to be insistent that only upheld complaints would indicate that these paper vilify muslims, when to most independent observers it's painfully fucking obvious.

here's the subtle sun headline
it's a pretty horrible thing to get wrong, don't you think? And a lot of people who probably didn't read the later retraction probably went away believing that there's whole bunch of muslims living in england that support murdering them.
But I couldn't say for sure if this bloke was influenced by the Sun and the Mail or he just had a bad falafel the night before and wanted vengeance. But I could say with certainity that many people are influenced by these rags, and not just the shaven-headed EDL types. They sell by stoking hatred and division and most of all fear. It might be by running lots of photos of Abu Hanza on the cover because he looks like captain hook, or saying muslims are going to outnumber us by 2050 at current birthrates so head for the hill, or something much more viscious. But that's their business model, fear sells

I also guess it was a coincidence that the Sun and Mail printed multiple headlines about Abu Hanza and the Finsbury park mosque up until his arrest in 2004
But no reports in those papers after that the Mosque had shutdown in response, replaced its management, board of trustees and imans and reopened a year later promoting community inclusivity which was widely regarded as a success story. Their readers don't want to know about that.
It just happened to be that mosque that the van man chose

you're right that they weren't the only ones
though the Sun in particular seemed to have a hard-on for their cover boy Hanza. He does look like a bond villian, I'll admit.
But at the risk of stereotyping the van man doesn't look the type to be reading The Times, put down his Pimms, and announce, "I say old bean, it's time I jolly well went down to that Mosque and give those chaps what for"

I think we can establish that this guy was a violent, drunken moron. However if you don't think that violent drunken morons are susceptible to suggestion from what they view as a gospel of truth (because they are ignorant and right wing) then you're simply lying to make a point or you have your head in the sand.
If you read in the paper that you're under attack from all corners and you don't have the capacity to go and check with other sources, use your mental reasoning skills, or perhaps don't actually know any muslims, then it's likely that you'll come to believe that point of view after a while.
To use your incorrectly utilised phrase "case closed".

I have a minority view that newspapers are not really very influential at all.
Last century maybe, but not anymore. They just reinforce pre existent prejudices. They don't mould society, they just reflect it. Their steadily falling circulation is evidence of this.

1. They don't have falling reader numbers, just circulation. People use the web. Guardian has huge number of online lefty readers, the Daily Mail a similar but opposed audience.

with you the chain of legitimate greivances always ends with 'the muslims' because they are 'irrational' and 'backward'
It's much easier to assume that there's something wrong with the way they think, the way all muslims think, than to to sit down and put some thought into their motivations. Try it now, assume they are rational actors, see where it takes you

Sense of humour meltdown much?
As usual your argument uses false equivalence.
It's not the Qur'an at fault for islamic fundamentalism, it's their right wing idealogy perpetuatued by their media and aggressive promotion. Sure put "ISIS Media outlets" on the side of a van to counter this cartoon, but your equivalent would be someone putting the bible on the side of the van.
Hope that clears stuff up for you whilst you froth over your copy of the Daily Mail.

And you've read the old testament too right?
Living by a literal interpretation of any religion is batshit mental. Their imaginary friend doesn't exist.
However to say one make believe mentalist book from thousands of years ago is worse than another, when Christians did exactly this random murder and attempted enforcing of their ideals on everyone they encountered (sure it started 500 years ago), is a joke.
It's also worth noting that ISIS don't even take a literal interpretation, they are using all kinds of works that are not even part of the Qur'an to justify anything they want.
Can we agree that all religion is dangerous?

If you're a GI, and it's 1943.
We drink warm beer, play darts and shove ha'penny, are always grateful for an 'american cigarette', eat like mice because rationing, and the scots don't like hearing about their 'skirt'. Some fascinating racism at 26mins in too.
And I confess I totally didn't work out who it was, until Bob Hope pitched up and named him 30mins in...

Well that was kinda the point
As in 'dont be shocked if a nice old lady asks a negro over for tea... they dont seem to see a problem with that in england, like what you might do'
Was just interesting to see racism of americans acknowledged (in a film made for their consumption), with a general 'you know it's prejudiced and wrong, so don't be surprised if you see people not being racist over here in england, and try to keep a lid on it if you can'.
(goes without saying you only need to wind the clock back to the 18th century and england was busy rounding up slaves in africa, so there's no moral high-ground here really...)

i was already tripping on mushrooms and so when i inhaled the dmt the hallucinogenic sheen that was overlaid across everything in front of me shimmered
then cracked and broke into uncountable thousands and thousands of bright shards and whirled together into a mini cyclone of shimmering reality pieces in the middle of the room leaving a new reality sheen of a richer and more profound character overlaid across everything. At the same time the most incredible feeling of pure rightness blossomed at the base of my spine moving slowly out through my body in all directions particularly wonderful as it made its way up my spine to the top of my head where it radiated up and out across the universe/me/us complex.
it's alright.
