Indeed.
DRS is a bit of a cop out solution to turbulent air.
There's nothing stopping the FIA adopting this style of design for the F1 regs, but I severely doubt it would be anywhere near as fast in a straight line or around corners as current cars and especially those of the early 2000's, even with a hulking great engine in it.
Doesn't really look like it leaves much room for innovation or development either. But that's probably why I'm not an F1 engineer.

It was faster down the back straight than every other car
Whilst using half the horsepower. It was also on course to beat all the lmp2 cars at Le Man's before getting rammed into a wall at Le Mans. As a first attempt I'd say that was pretty good, and given development time there's no reason I can see that it couldn't compete in the top categories. It was initially proposed as the next generation indycar after all.

Best advice I can give though is to really push it. You're at 1/125 there, mine was at 1/30. At that speed I'm throwing away 9/10 shots as just too blurry, but its worth it for the ones that do come good.
Tell you what though, the next one in your stream - the sunset one - is fucking awesome.

Haven't been to Donnington yet.
It's just a matter of good footing, smooth action and follow-through. Mainly though it's practice.
This is a stunning shot by the way:
www.flickr.com/photos/armhole/8180191903/in/photostream/
[edit] What ^he said. Do everything you can to slow that shutter down, you're looking to drag the background through the frame (an added bonus is that the wheels don't look 'frozen' either). 1/30 to 1/60s is reckoned to be the limit for clean hand-held images but that's entirely dependent on the person shooting. Push your luck - I went to Brands Hatch for the truck racing two weeks ago and took approx 500 shots. I got maybe 15 keepers but they're ones I *really* liked.

Those sunset shots are easy! Haha, I call them cheat shots, but once I had found the spot to take advantage of the setting sun, a couple of Pro snappers copied me.
I need more practice, a lens that was built in the digital era, and maybe actually use my monopod.
Donington is very chaddy, makes Brands look nice, but it's a great track and in a few places you can get really near the cars.

And you can't walk all the way round. But I like the actual track, the Craner curves are amazing with the high down-force cars.

It's all about context, i mean, just look at Hitler, for example.

That was funny stuff.
Some good editing, some proper LOL moments and a few phrases that I'm going to be pinching too. Well played that man.

Arguably
there's a problem here with Facebook's privacy settings too. I really wouldn't expect things I've marked as 'private' to be distributable by any of my 'friends'.
She's still an A-Grade, coal-fired, copper-bottomed cretin for posting that though.

You might not like what she says
But she can say it, and has a right to. The recourse is in the challenges, and others realising what a silly tit she is. Her employees don't want the PR.

I agree
She has the right to say what she wants, but I hate racists and she lost her job. Lolz.

sure she has the right to say what ever she wants to say, but she can't expect to keep her job.

Eh?
He's not breaking any laws. If you want to moan, moan at the government. Maybe they should close the loopholes if they're so worried about it. Oh wait, they won't, coz it will drive businesses away.

This should be a job for the national audit office...
...oh but they're hardly custodians of the UK tax pennies after Dave Hartnett's rather lovely agreement with Goldman Sachs. It's all dicks and no holes. Everyone's fucking everyone else, to quote Doug Stanhope...

Good one.
I liked the vibrator one that someone (sorry) posted here the other day too. Anything that takes the piss out of these things is fine by me. Those shitstains at the Daily Mail had a double page spread about this advert at the weekend saying that John Lewis ads are becoming a 'Christmas tradition'. I know the Mail are the Troll overlords but this sentence carried a worrying level of idiotic truth about it :-(
P.S. for the record, I obviously don't buy the Mail, but it's part of my job to read the weekend's papers. FML.
