His writings were good reading, whether you agreed with him or not. I did, mostly. Any thoughts?

Alright?
Stop talking about kebabs, you fat bastards.

What are you like at meeting new people? Are you a blundering wreck, a quiet observer or at ease with stunted conversation?
Im quite the observer/conversationalist.

alt. What's the worst journey you've ever been on?
I went from Newcastle to London on a "Mega Bus" once. 9 hours of screaming baby, smelly foreigner hell.

altalt. Favourite "retro/classic" film. I think mine's Big Trouble in Little China

NOT A TRAIN THREAD!!! WORST OF ALL THE THREADS!!!
Morning internet nerds, sad lonely bastards, work shy incompetents, reprobates and dildoheads. Alright?
What's today got in store for you, eh?
(, Thu 13 Mar 2014, 7:37, 230 replies, latest was 10 years ago)
I'll do one then, eh?
Why? Because I've been on here for years and I feel entitled to.

When did you last assert a degree of authority? Are you authorised to assert a degree of authority - even if, like mine, it's self assumed?

Evening prick thread.
Seems to have died off a bit innit?
Are you all in beer gardens, despite the weather being not that warm?
Bet you've got your vest and flip flops on too haven't you?

What do you do that is typical of a British stereotype?
What you up to this evening?

Alright?

God I love filling in job application forms.
I'm working on three at the moment. I love it when I see a job to apply for and it's 'submit your CV and a covering letter' it's like getting to school and being sent home because the pipes have burst.

What do you love doing (apart from MM)?

Alt: Chris Tarrant's had a mini-stroke. What would you write in his get well soon card?
(, Wed 12 Mar 2014, 13:53, 223 replies, latest was 10 years ago)
Hiya!
Now that Darth's back, let's concoct ways of snaring other lost members.
Name the B3tan and the way you would lure them back to the internets murky depths.

alt. Best way to spend a non-work, sunny day?
I live near Platt Fields Park in Manc which is canny for a walk around and also near the Fallowfield loop, a unused rail line that they paved over, goes on for miles.

Altalt. Summat about food, you fatties. The ultimate sandwich.

First new thread in aaaaaaaaaaaaaaages
On Monday I had the genuinely delightful experience of being ID'd for booze. Once upon a time this would have been most irksome because it meant actually producing ID or accepting that I'd been rumbled and wasn't going to be drinking at that establishment. Now, at the tender age of 35, it's really quite flattering. Although the chap did rescind his request when I grinned at being asked, and he saw my laughter lines :-(

What else changes for the better as one gets older?

Alt: apart from my mother.

AltAlt: Take advantage of my prolonged absence and spectacular gullibility by making up hilarious bullshit reasons why people flounced/will flounce.

TRAIN THREAD!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!
It's a misty morning, suitable for misty mourning.

How will you be celebrating 'hump day'? I will have coffee, then do some work.

The excitement NEVER ends eh.

Yeah, whatevs.
I'm not at work tomorrow. Who else isn't at work tomorrow? Most of you it would seem judging by the regularity of which you all post despite having jobs. That sportscow for one. How he finds time to post when he's supposed to be making beef madras in the Rupali's kitchen I don't know. Probably wanks into the raita an' all.

Alt: I dunno, something about tomorrow's lunch; get in there early and whatnot.

where did y'all go?
I've got a craving for mushroom and cheese quiche today. or the strong cheddar and balsamic onion one that higgedy make. however, I am consoling myself with a cup of vegetable soup and a freezing cold diet coke. if you could be eating anything right now, what would it be? go on, you know you love a good food thread.

alt: so battered is going to saw my tits off. good good, cheaper than a boob reduction. how would you threaten another b3tan?

altalt: where's b3th these days? not seen her in a while...
